The application process, monitoring of student progress, school re-entry, legal requirements, and reporting responsibilities are supervised by the Supervisor of Secondary Counseling and Student Support Services.
Home Instruction Partial Enrollment
The Prince William County School Board allows partial enrollment of home instruction/private school students for up to two credit-bearing high school courses per semester. This includes Virtual High School courses, which are offered in three semester sessions per year. Home Instruction students can enroll in their base school to participate in Virtual High School. High school-aged home instruction students may participate in Advanced Placement (AP) and Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) examinations and are eligible to receive free AP and PSAT testing opportunities to the same extent as students enrolled in Prince William County Public Schools. Parents may contact the school counseling department of their child's base high school during the first week of October 2013 for PSAT registration information and during the first week of March 2014 for AP test registration information.
